That inspiration I mentioned last time? Here it is.
"Toilet Humor". "Low Brow Comedy". Whatever you call it I've noticed an increasing amount of it online. Seems that the only way your comic can be popular today is if you swear, fight, show boobs, or use fart jokes. Call me old fashioned but I don't see the value in that at all.
I feel that a comic should be able to stand on it's art AND it's writing. Anyone with even a slight IQ can draw poop or tell a fart joke or talk about sex with lots of profanity. It takes actual talent to be funny without resorting to that. I want my comic to be truly talented not just funny 'cause it's got poop in it.
